Please review the following Behavior Contract. If we violate any of these, the Shedd Aquarium will ask our entire group to leave.
- Please remember that you are attending this overnight with many other people. Please be considerate of the other guests at all times.
- For the protection of the animals in the Oceanarium, we require that groups carry no loose objects, which would be dangerous to a whale or dolphin. Also we ask that groups keep their hands and all belongings on their side of the railings. This will help to prevent objects from falling into the animal habitats.
3. Although the rocks and trees in our Oceanarium appear very real, they are not. All guests are asked to refrain from climbing or sitting on rocks and from touching the trees.
- Fish are very sensitive to flashes of light. All guests are asked to refrain from using flash photography around fish exhibits. Flashlights are prohibited.
- Although food and drink are permitted during the overnight, we ask that you please dispose of all trash in the appropriate receptacles. Alcohol is strictly prohibited. Anyone in possession of alcohol will be escorted off the premises with their entire group.
- Groups are expected to behave during their visit to the Aquarium. Please make sure your group is attentive to instructions and respectful towards Aquarium property and others.
- Chaperones are required to stay with their group throughout the entire overnight.
- All overnight participants are expected to adhere to these policies. In certain cases of misconduct, Shedd Aquarium reserves the right to terminate your visit and escort your group off the premises. In such an instance, no fees or other costs will be reimbursed to the offending group.
